Meeting of Library Trustees

Central Citizens’ Library District

November 17, 2016

I. Call Meeting to Order and Roll Call: President R. Lemenager called the regular meeting of Central Citizens’ Library District to order at 8:05 PM. Trustees present: A. Blasey, L. Gillespie, R. Lemenager, L. Phelps, and S. Senffner. Trustees absent: D. Schafer, and W. Thompson. Also present S. Schoon, Librarian.

II. Approval of Minutes: A. Blasey made the motion, seconded by L. Phelps, to approve the October minutes. Aye all. Motion carried.

III. Reading and Allowance of Bills: L. Gillespie made the motion, seconded by A. Blasey, to pay the listed bills. Roll call vote. Aye all. Motion carried.

IV. Treasurer’s Report: L. Phelps made the motion, seconded by A. Blasey, to approve the Treasurer’s Report. Aye all. Motion carried.

V. Opportunity for Public Input: None

VI. Communications and Reports:

  • Try-It Illinois, the state-wide database trial, continues through November 30.
  • A Local Expense Reimbursement Policy should be adopted by January 1, 2017.
  • Drawing contest for annual Christmas coloring contest was held. Katie Speckman won for the children’s picture and Holly Haas won for the adults.
  • Tom Emery, historical researcher from Carlinville, Illinois, will present “The History of Illinois” on December 9.
  • Fall Quilt Retreat was held October 20-23.

VII. Unfinished Business: None

VIII. New Business:

          A. S. Senffner made the motion, seconded by L. Phelps, to approve the Resolution to Comply with the Government Travel Expense Control Act. Aye all. Motion carried.

          B. L. Phelps made the motion, seconded by S. Senffner, to approve the purchase of two Cisco Meraki MR32 Wireless Access Point with 5-year subscription licenses. Roll call vote. Aye all. Motion carried.

          C. A. Blasey made the motion, seconded by L. Gillespie, to set the meeting time to 6:00 PM for December, 2016, January-February, 2017. Aye all. Motion carried.

IX. Adjournment: S. Senffner made the motion, seconded by A. Blasey, to adjourn the meeting. Aye all. Motion carried. Meeting adjourned.
